Shrapnel to Become the First Web3 Game Licensed on China’s RWA Copyright Chain

Shrapnel was built to push boundaries—and that mission continues.
The team has signed a formal partnership with the Chinese government to bring a localized version of the game to market. Shrapnel will be the first Web3 title licensed to operate on China’s Real World Asset (RWA) blockchain, integrating directly with the country’s official infrastructure for digital content and IP.
This follows Shrapnel’s original position as one of the first moddable extraction shooters powered by blockchain. The path hasn’t been linear, but this new step reinforces a long-term vision that’s still taking shape—and now has the regulatory backing of the largest gaming market in the world.
Why China’s RWA Chain Matters
China’s RWA Copyright Chain is part of its national blockchain effort, built to track, license, and manage digital intellectual property at scale. By launching a localized version of Shrapnel within this system, Neon Machine is adapting the game to meet strict regulatory standards while preserving its core: player ownership, asset creation, and transparent economic participation.
A dedicated game launcher and marketplace are in development for the region, with support from Lingjing Game Labs, the gaming division of People’s Daily. This includes minting and managing digital assets tied to verified creator rights and in-game utility.
What Radon Is Watching
For Radon Network Guidance, this partnership is more than a regional deployment. It gives us a real case to study how SHRAP fits into regulated environments and how the ecosystem evolves around it.
We are focused on:
- How SHRAP-backed assets are licensed and exchanged within the RWA framework
- How regional systems for ownership and rewards can interact with SHRAP’s global economy
- How SHRAP can be designed to complement regional infrastructure while continuing to drive value across the broader ecosystem
This rollout gives us a clearer view of how SHRAP can stay globally relevant while adapting to the realities of specific markets.
A New Phase
The Chinese market is one of the most difficult for blockchain projects to access. This partnership is more than a market entry. It is a live test of how Web3 games can operate within national systems while staying true to player ownership and creative contribution.
There’s still work to do. But Shrapnel is once again moving first, opening a door no other Web3 title has stepped through.
We’ll share more as details develop.
